NHTSA Issues RV Recalls

Recent RV Recalls

In October 2019, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration NHTSA has recently recalled 10,446 RVs with potentially serious electrical issues. Some 2018 and 2019 Starcraft models of Launch Outfitter and Mossy Oak are affected by this recall. The cause is an unprotected circuit due to faulty wiring. If left unprotected, it could spark a fire that could rush through the vehicle’s interior.

Why a Recall?

Whether it’s the manufacturing process or faulty parts, when a vehicle has any problems that result in a recall, the manufacturer is the reason why. Purchasing an RV is like a cross between buying a vehicle and a home. Unlike a regular car, a motorhome has more features that will ultimately need maintenance.
