Airstream travel trailers are quickly making a household name for itself and it's all thanks to Airstream's 2013 partnerships with some of the most well-known companies in the world. Marketing campaigns by Veuve Clicquot, Levi's, RED and Fender have all utilized travel trailers to promote their brands in the past year, providing extensive exposure for Airstream and putting their new models on the map. Multi-functional and available in wide varieties, the travel trailers proved to be the perfect vehicles for each brand to show off their unique spirit, approach and style.
When taking your brand on the road, there's no better vehicle to bring along with you than an Airstream travel trailer. That's exactly how Veuve Clicquot and Fender felt in 2013 when they decided to team up with Airstream and create customized trailers that could show off each of their brands, while touring the country. Personalized and stocked with bubbly drinks, the Veuve Clicquot Airstream trailer traveled across the country and offered champagne along the way, giving fans a different way to experience their product. The Fender Airstream trailer also toured the nation, but instead of having champagne on deck, the travel trailer was decked out with a mobile recording studio and lounge area that was utilized by artists during music festivals.
Levi took a slightly different approach with their Airstream, opting to showcase the trailer at some of their stores during the holidays and using it as a gift-wrapping station. The services were free and proved to be a hit with customers. The customized RED trailer, on the other hand, was designed by Jony Ives and Marc Newson, put up for auction and raised $300,000 in the fight against AIDS in Africa.
With Airstream's newly gained exposure, 2013 was a successful year for the company. In addition to their marketing ventures, Airstream also reported a 59-percent sales increase last year, confirming they're still a leading travel trailer brand even after 82 years in the business.
